          Strawberry jam.

No nonsense about trying to ascertain when it's reached setting point, because it never does.

                Ah, a little light supper?

Lentil and bacon stew here ( very tasty) with gram flour pancakes. A local favourite.

a drop of Sauvignon Bland and Zemlinsky's Mermaid to go with.
                Yum.

actually, by my standards the Sauvignon bland is not a bad drop. My trypos are well up to standard too !

Hope the Toad in the Road is good Pulcers. Finishing crosswords I'm OK at, ( Caliban specialises in this too, IIRC) ...its starting them is the problem.

Hoping for a slightly better reaction to my Stockhausen pun though, frankly....

Friday, MrsBBM cooked a rather nice Ragu with Toulouse sausages. Very nice too! Yesterday, roast lamb with all the trimmings and a Madagascan Blueberry Cheesecake! :)

A recipe for St. Patrick's Day - La Naomh Padraig - that's next Friday, March 17.

Not my cup of tea, but it might float someone's boat.

Colorado mountain community cookbook web site serving Pine, Evergreen, Conifer and Bailey with recipes of all kinds.

                                a recipe for Poundies,

You know how awful a lump in mashed potatoes can be. We have a phrase for such a lump - at least my grandmother had and I always loved it - the phrase, not the lump. Phonetically, it is a 'juke the beetle'. That's what we said. I later worked out that 'juke' was a corruption of 'duck' meaning to hunker down, or weave, in order to avoid a blow. Hence, a lump avoided the beetle - a juke the beetle. Isn't it just quaint and Paddy-like.
                                I'll get me caubeen.
