had friends round today for Roast beef and all the bits and bobs today.
    Yum.

All pretty good really, except for the experimental Gluten free Yorkshire pud, which was so leathery that it would have made good material for a decent waterproof coat.
Actually I don't mind that kind of Yorkshire, and it all got wolfed, so can't have been too bad !!
Anyhow, good recipes for gluten free YP welcome, please !!

Doesn't normally last long enough to be toasted but, in your name, put a slice through the toaster and it came out with flying colours.

            they sound good.
I am very much loving the chickpea.
Chickpea and Spinach curry a fave at the moment.

I would hide the fritters, Gongers.

Aubergine and bean curry tonight. New dish for me.

70's disco compilation to go with whilst cooking.

Opening my new Schnittke box set later. Should help the digestion.

What fish or meat will you be having with that vegetarian muck?

Don't forget to give 70 his disco compilation back, when you've finished with it.

Schnittke box set? You lucky devil!!!!!!!

I always give CDs back. So can I borrow your Hartmann and Guarnieri symphonies please ?

Who is going to ask FF to translate?

How was the Turbot? Funnily, I used to have a Turbot Alpine hatchback in the mid 80's. Had a trip computer, which was pretty whizzy in those days.

We had a red one of those. I liked it. It was a step up from the Morris Marina before

Trying to craft a gag involving Turbot and Marina but it's too late in a crazy week.

                          Bon appétit all !

when you moved from the marina to the turbot, did you feel like a fish out of water?

(did yours have the trendy but expensive to repair vinyl roof? !)

Stew. Done in the Avignon way it's made with lamb, not beef, and is traditionally served with haricot beans (the kind we all hated when we were in primary school). It has various tastes like smoky bacon, dried mushrooms (I use porcini), garlic sausage (with the beans) and olives, as well as herbs. Blissful. I use Elizabeth David's recipe and the book falls open at the page (p 107). It's about the only dish I make regularly. It lasts two or three days and then furnishes a bowl of soup.

did it help you calculate how much of any particular substance you needed to get you 'whizzy'?
