Beefy's med-cred might still be a significant factor

I think it's the intelligence of the octopus which has given some people pause for thought - they're clearly quite brainy creatures.

or have I broken some important pasta law?
On reflection, it's probably just an 'inglish thing', like penalties. I was once serve spaghetti with a meat sauce that contained carrots. She thought me harsh when I told her she'd blown any chance of seeing me again. Hard, but fair.

Now preparing Bouillabaisse for this evening. With an accompaniment of Antheil's Symphony for 5 Instruments version #2. Very good cooking music.

I Don't like samosas, none of that foreign muck for me, I like me food plain.

It's 0-0, but Arsenal are gonna run out winners - you'll see.

MOTD's gonna be worth watching tonight, the Mersey-side derby must've been a right humdinger!

Like that old-fashioned English fish stew you're cooking .....? What's it called, oh yes, Bouillabaisse
I swear that the chilies you buy in supermarkets have had all the hotness bred out of them! I normally get Scotch Bonnets from the greengrocer, start with half a one, cook a while, taste, add the other half if necessary. Today I got some from Waitrose and have had to use two of them to get any kick in the tagine.
As to veggie pasta, I cook quite a bit of it, surely it's just as traditional as meat or fish based? (Although I agree about carrots in a meat ragu being a no-go area)

Regarding Lasagne, it is a north Italian dish made with pasta, ragù, béchamel and Parmigiano-Reggiano. People may have bastardised it with fish and other things, and Gwerdian readers have emasculated it for their own needs.

But it stands alone, proud, original, tradional and truly Italian, as a dish made with meat sauce.

                      Told you! (See above)
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

But I didn't say lasagne, I said veggie generic pasta, like the simplest of all, pasta with pesto, or pasta with olive oil, pepper, some chili, parmesan. And oodles of noodles more meat free stuff!

The general umbrella of pasta - which is not solely confined to lasagne. You seem to have an aversion to lasagne being mucked about with but I was just gently pointing out, pasta comes in many forms and vegetarian pasta can be beautiful and fulfilling, for example, in an open ravioli with chestnut mushrooms and peas. You do need to think outside the box!
Oh goodness, I nearly posted a clip of The Smiths .... (Beefy will get that, he's cool about music)

Uncanny - I nearly posted a clip of the Smiths in relation to something else earlier!

And, at the risk of sounding a tad ahintonesque, I am in no box in the first place, and as consequence thereof, all my thinking takes placed outside of 'the' box.

I can provide a fuller answer if and when you provide fuller and better particulars concerning the precise identity of the box, its location, current owner etc.

In the meantime please accept my interim response.
