Anyone else tried these guinea fowl thighs?
You might like to look at this site Ams, recipe for guinea fowl with puy lentils plus loads of other recipes (never seen the thighs in Waitrose, although they do sell whole ones for around £8)

Boil in the bag kippers are ok, far less bones than ordinary ones and less stinky to cook! And it has to be brown bread and butter - white bread just won't do.

Did the hounds gather round expectantly as you ate the kippers?
Try the lovely Craster kippers in Waitrose much less salty than many .

Cooked Cauliflower and Broccoli cheese last night, with a yellow Cauliflower.
Is this new and trendy? or did it grow in some radiation hot spot?

          tasted like any white cauliflower.

(might try those Waitrose kippers some time.).

Get in quick though ! If the UK membership of the EU goes the wrong way they will loose protection and we will loose them

(Please don't send this to the basement !)

Tonight its risotto with leeks (still in a muddy bucket) sausage and New Zealand spinach which seems like it will go on all winter in our pollytunnel

            Suitable music ?

Leave it to the free market, that will sort anything out.

So is your spinach from your polytunnel, from New Zealand, or is your polytunnel in New Zealand? Confused.
              What about the food miles?

Getting strength up for the big match tonight , Gongers?

I'm not thinking of moving but .... there is a cottage for sale, totally wrong location, but - with a six burner range!!
Tonight, when I get around to it, pasta with chestnut mushrooms, pancetta, etc.
Tomorrow, Welsh lamb shanks. Haven't cooked them for such a long time, undecided whether the traditional recipe or some tarted up Moroccan recipe.
A friend said to me she loves this time of the year, slow cooking and great, deep, flavours.
