    Hot Cross Buns

I'm half way through making some hot cross buns at the moment, it takes ages with all the stages waiting for the yeast to do its job. I'm using the recipe from the Radio Times from that guy with the plastic tan and fake blue eyes who apparently has an erotic charge for the ladies.
    I don't quite see it myself, but then "I wouldn't would I ? " ( Apologies to M Rice Davies )

Report coming later re success or failure.

You can't beat the nice moist ones from Marks & Spencer!

    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

        - What do you get if you pour boiling water down a rabbit burrow?

        - Hot, cross buns!!

        Happy Easter all, keep smiling

Incidentally, I wanted to do a Martinu thread, but am fearful of doing so without the umluaty thing on the U.... any wise thoughts?

Paul Hollywood evidently also has a big Gay Bear following ... There was a very funny review in the Guardian the other day saying as it's basically soft porn it should be on after the watershed! His next book will be 'Fifty Shades of Granary'

Ontopic, not a fan of commercially produced hot cross buns but I do like the Waitrose wholemeal ones. Worst ones ever are Heston Blumenthal's Earl Grey and mandarin - quite disgusting, not flavoursome, and very dry

Love those chocolate bunnies- lots of love..I mean laugh out loud.

But, or as MrGongGong in a weak moment might say, "BUT"

If I had to name a historic moment of real dumbing down it would be the day the Dept of Education announced the demise of Home Economics in secondary schools, and upgraded it to a branch of science and technology. As you know, the whole system went up in flames after that, except for electronic music, and the art of television personality cookery programme criticism, a branch of media studies.
                      Correct me if I'm wrong.

Do you mean Bohuslav Martinů? I couldn't find the ů as an alt character, but I found it online, so do feel free to copy and paste from here!

PS.... did you know that an innuendo is an Italian suppository?

Indeed it has and I was quite shocked at mangerton having a copy of the Urban Dictionary of Slang! I was just about to reply to Padraig ... but this has quite put me off.
