Yes - I too have been busy researching on Caliban's behalf. The usual Alt character list does not include it, but the whole Czech alphabet is here, in case Calibs also wants to start a thread on Janáček, as the inverted circumflex on the C is also missing

Ah - the goodly Ladies of Powys and contemporary flour power, indeed!...

Seriously, though - isn't that also one thing that pianists do?...

And amongst a gentleman or two, as well, judging by your earlier intelligence...

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I'm not sure that this post is likely to hasten poor Mahlerei's return

Of course, the Ladies of Powys appreciate the dexterity of pianists but I'm afraid they are transfixed by his piercing blue eyes and seduced by his faint Liverpool lilt and say it's about a well-turned-out honey-glazed hunk rolling up the sleeves of an expensive shirt and plunging his big hands into warm, moist dough, and working it, masterfully. Slowly to start with .... Ahem. That's them, not me, you understand. Give me someone banging out a tune by Liszt anytime!!

Is that like an apple turnover, only more useful in a passing shower?

Which reminds me of the time I mis-heard a friend when he referred to someone as 'The greatest living pianist' (while we're inuendoing)

Indeed it is but I think it's because Easter is half-term, a four day weekend and so we are all feeling a bit Third Form-ish?
I shall look forward to ff's report on his buns and will henceforth desist from any more gastro-porn.
