    Chocolate bars

Enough of courgettes and this healthy eating malarkey.

How about your top five favourite bars (past and present).

    1. Dark chocolate Bounty (the one with the red wrapper, not the blue one)best ever chocolate bar by a long chalk.

    2. Snickers (remember when they were called Marathon?).

    3. Fry's Five Centre.

    4. Mars Midnight (dark chocolate, they were a limited edition).

    5. Aztec.

An idea prompted by the test your vocabulary thread would you believe !

Crunchies and Toffee Crisps in this place! As long as we have those, you can keep the rest!

(Having said that, there was once a very chocolatey sort of toffee bar called Reisen, to which I became addicted for a short while. Until I became aware of the effect it was having on my metabolism.)

Pretty sure I've not bought one since the name change.... Silly French name which I sneered at when we still had Marathons, and then I refused to compromise.

      1= Ice Breaker

      2. Crunchie

      3. Chunky Kit-Kat

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

No-one remember 'Summit'? Came out in about 1970 or 1969 maybe. Didn't catch on and disappeared soon after.

A quick google suggests it was only marketed in the US. Do you know better? I've no recollection of it.

            Fry's Chocolate Creme
            Bounty Dark Choc
            Both of which, unobtainable
Edit: sometimes I really like cheap stuff - like Dairy Milk Caramel !!

Oh, yes! Advertised on telly with a group of important-looking men in suits: "This is a Summit eating" came the voice-over as they all tucked in. IIRC (eldest brother owned a sweets & tobbaco shop) it had a marshmallow centre with a blob of jam in - or was that Aztec?

I used to love Fry's Turkish Delight. I saw one in the newsagent's last week: utterly FOUL!!!

And such small portions these days.

Tunnock's dark chocolate caramel wafer has to be in the top five, if not the top one.

I think i vaguely remember the advert now,Summit did have the marshmallow centre.
Aztec was supposed to be Cadbury's answer to the Mars Bar.
