Just been having a nibble of Tesco Canadian Extra Mature Cheddar. Very nice.
but the pack describes it as " Sharp and Fruity".
well it isn't Fruity at all. who wants fruity cheese?
I like my cheese cheesy, not fruity.
If I want fruit, I eat fruit.
If I remembered to get some at the shops, of course.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

maybe they should merge cracker barrel and Cathedral city to get British super cheese to compete with the best.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I think gjetost (as spelled here) simply means goats cheese. I used to like that quite a lot.

I think its key asset is that it's made from unpasteurised milk so there's none of that UHT back-taste.
As to Cathedral City, I suspect BO's taste buds have been scorched by the Algerian whisky he's most likely been raving about.

Both involve heating the milk which can lead to a change in the taste which I don't like, and which I associate with UHT milk and which I taste in cheese from pasteurised milk.
The packaging refers to 'unpasteurised' milk.
