Not something I've ever been asked before; I'm still formulating a view. Actually, they're both foreign loan-words, and it rather depends on whether you prefer to use the French or the Italian. Insofar as either can be regarded an an English word now, I'd go for lasagne. English is usually happier with French.

(You have to give me credit for trying. )

"They dined on mince, and slices of quince
Which they ate with a runcible spoon;" comes to mind

One lasagna is not usually enough - likewise one spaghetto.

Does anyone have any suggestions for BeefO's original question

Anyone got a good marmalade recipe for a first-timer?
... I'd be quite interested, too.

Oddly enough, the dish is always in the plural in French, and it's always puzzled me: to say 'we had lasagna for dinner' the French would say 'on a mangé des lasagnes'...

Typical shabby foreign trick, as Capt. Mainwaring would say

First step would I think be to click 'Search Thread' under this thread's title to the right, enter 'recipe' in the search box, and see what's here already.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.

Funnily enough the jar on the go here at the moment is their 'Old English Hunt Marmalade' which was a Christmas gift. Recommended.

Nope. All eaten, except the remaining marmalade
