                  You can say that again. A long time ago,as wee lads, my friends a I were told off for bringing our fish and chips into a Gateshead pub. Not because the pub sold food but a) because of the smell and b) because the fat would make the beer go flat! That was when pubs were pubs, and S. & N. pubs were more so.

                          Smoked trout (done in a box in the garden) , shredded cabbage (grown in a bed in the garden) , jasmine rice (grown in someone else's garden) dressed with chopped garlic and olive oil
