Delighted to say that the weekend featured some of this:

I've not found it in bottles before - one of my very favourites on draught, though. Struck by a very liquorish-y note, adding to the nutty maltiness...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

As I cannot abide beer of any kind (hence my customary absence from this thread), I thought that it might be worthy of mention that the CD collection that forms the backdrop of this liquid really does look interesting and would doubtless be yet more so were it only in better focus!

The "CD Wall" featured in a thread dedicated to the issue - see photo in this post and the discussion/speculation which ensued prior to that from a smaller version of the photo here !

Be interesting to see that more in focus, Cali! Then we can peruse, deliberate and another thread is born! :)

Bought some ales not known very well down my part of the woods! Apart from this one called The Durham Brewery, Cloisters 4.5% ABV, this was bought for me by my eldest sister!

The ones I bought were: from The Bristol Beer Factory, Seven 4.5%; Saltaire Brewery Cascade Pale Ale 4.5%; The Ilkley Brewery: Joshua Jane 3.7%

If you can see it in focus, you haven't had enough beer!

I know for a fact, that I be going to a pub in a nearby village that does some very good Badger beer, The Bent Arms, Lindfield, West Sussex. They have Fursty Ferret on tap! :)

I have no idea if this place has been mentioned already on this this thread, but I was taken here for a pint (could have chosen from 42, the blurb says) tonight.
                    I'll be back!

Near bedtime treat - 1664 Millesime - bottle bought as an experiment on a recent trip to France. Rather tasty.

Had my first pint for a while now, I am feeling a lot better, inside of myself, and had a nice Badger best pint.

I am not exactly an avid beer drinker but found the current Waitress promotion of 4x500ml Duchy brews for £6.00 just too tempting. However, the Duchy brand notwithstanding, it turns out the brewery is in Oxfordshire.

                              Shameful! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-41059610

The company wants the benefit of a lower tax bill yet also to retain "the trust of customers"! Seems dishonest to me.

I would touch the stuff anyway with there being so many good beers around!
