Last Sunday I enjoyed a pint of Red Kite at Wetherspoons in Berkhamsted, brewed by Vale Brewery Co
Website says: "Type Bitter / Pale Ale
ABV 4.0%
A chestnut red beer. Maris otter crystal, chocolate and roasted barley provide a full body whilst Northdown, Fuggle, Willamette and Brewers Gold hops combine to offer a strong bitter finish."
and I concur with that remark about the strong bitter finish - just the job

It is a glorious day here so I walked north for half an hour to the remains of the ditch of the Antonine Wall, strolled along it for a while and then back home to a well-earned pint of Fursty Ferret. Very refreshing.Comment

Crisp, sweet and sour. Glorious aroma, too.

3 for £5 in Morrisons. Pretty good in this day and age. Christ knows how much they'd charge in a saloon.
