A tough choice this year - basically you have to choose between being in Suffolk for bird migration (April-May) or the Festival, which is in June - still plenty of birds, but well into the breeding season, and that frisson of excitement no longer present. This year we thought we'd go for the music.
Really they should move the Festival to May to allow birdwatchers like me the best of both worlds.

stock some more unusual stuff which is harder to get in more southern parts. I think that might include Arran ale as well as the Old Engine Oil I've mentioned previously.

Ricahrdtarlton, when is that pilgrimage taking place? Do they have a beer festival then?
Dave2002: Thanks for the tip! Waitrose do a fine collection as well. If people havn't tried pout St Peter's Brewery, pleae make a point. A very good range. Especially their Ruby Red!! :)Don’t cry for me
