Agree about the spelt and rye bread. I use spelt pasta too, but I don't buy it from Morrisons.

Best rye bread by far is to be had at Lidl. 1 kilo loaf for £1.59.

A tough choice this year - basically you have to choose between being in Suffolk for bird migration (April-May) or the Festival, which is in June - still plenty of birds, but well into the breeding season, and that frisson of excitement no longer present. This year we thought we'd go for the music.

Really they should move the Festival to May to allow birdwatchers like me the best of both worlds.

I got some decent houmous from morrisons this week. And their spelt wheat and Rye bread is good.

Didn't know that they sell beer.

I've had quite a few bottles from Morrisons over recent years - various Badger ales in the past. The Scottish shops
stock some more unusual stuff which is harder to get in more southern parts. I think that might include Arran ale as well as the Old Engine Oil I've mentioned previously.

It's a purely personal pilgrimage BBM, to old haunts, we go every year - normally May for the birding, this year conciding with the last week of the Aldeburgh Festival (3 concerts booked). You can't throw a stick in E Suffolk without hitting a great pub.
