Dear me! I'd have thought that a UKIP advocate would understand enough about independence to have come to appreciate that the order of applications to Westminster for UK independence referenda are first Scotland (in 7 months' time), then Wales, then Cornwall, then perhaps a toss-up between Herefordshire and splitting England into the oddly named "Home Counties" and the rest (does no-one living anywhere in "the rest" have homes?) - Northern Ireland's case is different, of course, at least to the exent that, as it's not part of Great Britain, its independence application would therefore be rather different (although its location some distance from that North Circular is not inconsiderable). For the record, neither Wales nor Cornwall is easily accessible by leaving the North Circular (you never use the M25?) in a northerly direction; you leave London in a westerly direction on M4 and stick with that until you get to south Wales or join the M5 and go west, young(ish) man, to its end and then pop down the west end of the A30 and Robert is your father's Cornish brother.
