What is Snake's Bite supposed to be? When I was at Uni it was lager, cider and blackcurrant. Mind you things may have changed in the last 34 years!

According to the web site it is pale ale infused with cider apples.

actually, i need to find some new drinks that are equally at home with Wagner and Mingus.

                    Suggestions?

Skinners brewery from Cornwallo, everytime and anytime, with any composer! Especially their golden ales. infact, with Skinngers, they dont do very high ADVs, so should be ok with these. plus any Shepherd neame beer. Especially Bishop's Finger andSspitfire.

Do you mean ABV? Alcohol by volume?

Anyone who likes dark roasted porter-type beers should invest in a pint of Old Growler. Yes, that's right. Invest.

Best to buy now in pounds, and flog it to mainland Europeans of taste in Euros when the Euro recovers.

                            I think.

It's a toss-up between love-handles and taste buds, the latter always seeming to come up trumps.
