At lunch-time after a percussion concert at Royal Academy of Music I went to Wetherspoon's at Baker Street where I had a pint of Conwy Welsh Pride which is described thus ... Welsh Pride / Balchder Cymru. ABV 4.0% ALL YEAR BEST SELLER!!
A copper coloured bitter with a well balanced blend of malt & hops.
An initial rich, maltymouthfeel is rounded off by orangey / zesty hops and a touch of spice
Jolly refreshing it was too

Sainsbury Eurofizz for me, but at the end of the week it tastes good enough.
My customers and bosses could drive a man to cooking sherry !!
(or brewed fermented condiment, if there were such a thing.)I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
I am not a number, I am a free man.

Have I mentioned Innis & Gunn Original, from the Coop? 6.6% but available in 330ml bottles for sissies like me Nice this week with a bit of cheese and a home-pickled onion. It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I'm thinking of getting a cheese safe so that I can keep my cheese outside the back door. Is that what everyone else does or do you keep it in the fridge? It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. Byas'd Opinion
I'd a pint of Dark Star's Partridge Best Bitter on Friday. Very impressive stuff. They've got a good reputation as a brewery, and judging by this and their Hophead, a well-deserved one. I like their Espresso beer too, with its hint of coffee, but I can see that it won't be to everyone's taste.

After attending the world premiere of Anthony Payne's fascinating reduction of Bruckner symphony no 2 at Royal Academy of Music last Friday I went to Weatherspoon's Metropolitan Bar at Baker Street and tried one of their Festival Ales, Twickenham Brewery's Naked Ladies. It had a very citrussy intial attack followed by an extremely hoppy finish - a real thirst quencher, I'd say
