You got class BBM. As for me, I went down the pub with a doombar of a friend and had 4 pints of Long-life!

I don't often drink beer but last week had Dorothy Goodbody's Country Ale, very tasty but strong at 6%. Wye Valley Brewery, Herefordshire. Not sure how widely available it is.

Afraid Tetley's is no longer brewed in Yorkshire ts - the brewery has been demolished and its now brewed 'abroad'! Fortunately we have a much more enticing choice of Saltaire, Salamander, Timothy Taylors, Ilkley and Old Spot to name but a few brewers in our fair District to celebrate with - all far tastier beers than Tetley's ever was!

Not to mention Messrs. Theakston, whose products never achieved the legendary status on my palate that their advertising trumpeted.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I never thought that much to Tetleys, myself, but I usually drink it in a pub full of football fans, some of them Yorkshire based, so best to keep the thought to yourself at that point.

JoeG, doesn't Tetleys taste better out of a 4 pint plastic milk carton down at the folk club?!

And who remembers Grotney's and that lovely description of drinking it. "Like making love in a canoe".

So that's at least two experiences I've not had then.

Currently sampling Burns Ale, on offer for 99p in Lidl, so I got 6 in. Not quite my favourite style of beer, but eminently drinkable, and made by Sheperd and Neame. Missed out on haggis though, as not on offer in locations near me.
