    Very good, Bryn - I hope we're not the only ones on this forum who "get" the connection.

    The Congress was over mkore than one day iirc. I attended part of one day and was lucky, not only to hear Bateson speak, but to get the book when it came out, which I still have (with most of its pages). I think Laing popularised the double bind theory, but after Bateson thought it up. I should check, really.
