    Caramel vodka

Yes, agreed, it sounds disgusting...but oh boy, it's wonderful! We acquired a bottle in the Caribbean last year. We drank it in the Caribbean too. Sadly it seems unavailable in the UK. I think it is made in Portugal, maybe Spain. So if anyone discovers a UK source, (a) try some and (b) let me know.

I tried a few different brands of toffee and caramel vodka a few years back. Vile stuff.

Widely available, including on Amazon UK.

Yes, that's one I have tasted. Cheap and nasty, £15 a bottle - originates from Spain's Canary Islands. It's the flavoured vodka that British chavettes drink themselves into a stupor with in Torremolinos!!! Are you sure you should be owning up to liking this near-alcopop on a public forum?

Edit: It's even cheaper, but still as nasty here (9 Euros) http://www.bodecall.com/en/busca-tu-...l-vodka-detail

I looked hopefully but in vain to see if this thread started on 1 April...

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

              Sadly it seems so.

I feel an extra vieux Pineau des Charentes coming on, just to take the distaste away - except that I don't have one in the fridge right now! Merde!

arders did say it sounded disgusting. I think putting whiskey in coffee with cream on top is disgusting, but some people like it
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

You people are such snobs. I'll give it a try if I get a chance. And I'm reminded that it must be twenty-something years since I had a so-called Irish coffee.

Not sure it's snobbish to think something sounds so horrible that it must be a joke!

There's a bottle of my favourite peppermint whisky heading your way as a thank-you gift for the giggles though Richard

a young nephew of mine pitched up with a bottle of Caramel rum at Xmas.
in his defence , I must say that he was given a case of it by his boss, and he generously gave it away to those he visited over the festive season.

                        It has all gone.
