      ... ah, but if your broad bean is really young and fresh - then there's nothing better : raw, - with a splash of olive oil, squish of lemon, grind of black pepper, shaving of parmesan / gran padano. Have been shelling quantities of such (in an Italian garden) - and we think they are just lovely...

        That's the way to do it!!!
        It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
