    2013 specials

A genuine Red Moon, not photoshopped, promise, and I didn't discover until recently that a blue moon is a second full moon in a calendar month.

A shop window in Corbridge, Northumberland.

    The bridge in Macon.

On a small hilltop in Tuscany.

    Growing your own goes wrong!

We were in Nanking Road, Shanghai on one day of the three day "Workers" holiday and three teenagers came up to us miming a request to take a photograph of them, I gestured, saying "Me, idiot" and at my wife "Photographer". Of course they spoke very good English and wondered at our being allowed to walk the very busy streets unchaperoned.

Reduction to 75% bring the pix to size. Next time I'll find out how to reduce them in advance.

(Is there one missing re Shanghai, at the end?)
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Surely the second one down should be titled "Sheep window".

The Shanghai story was just to make it clear that it is my wife who takes all the photos except the ones she's in (not many!) but here is a Shanghai photo any way:

I think the guy with the suitcase is Maurice Ravel "en vacances" after Radio 3 had finished describing him cumulatively.

More shop windows - but these are fakes!

Painted on a blank Wall by the famous wall-painters of Lyon.
