It reminds me of the quote on The News Quiz a few years ago, something to the effect of, "For next Tuesday's Dieter's gathering, would those coming please use the larger entrance at the side of the chapel".

A barber's shop near here, a few years back, had a notice in the window saying 'Barber needed'.

Under which someone had added 'You can say that again'.

Noticed one unusual service offered by this builder, so had to snap my camera!

In our local church notices in printed village news-sheet (this is absolutely complete):

"When tidying up your grave, please could you take everything away with you. Thanks very much."

Thought we were taught we couldn't take anything with us!
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!

(Snapped by a relative this morning at the local vet’s surgery)
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Possibly not original (and I'm not able to reproduce the image) but this made me chuckle:

REFUSE TO BE STORED IN BLACK PLASTIC SACKS AND PLACED IN THE CONTAINERS PROVIDED

Not a one-off slip - see the variant lower down!

                            And yes I know, I know… trumpeting local crime statistics… met with a muted response… &c. &c.

They managed Neighbourhoods all right though
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

The typos could have been worse, bearing in mind the replacement of the "a" by "e" - good thing the "l" stayed in place.
However when you consider that the actual making of the sign would have been contracted out, so gone past more than one person, one does wonder whether no-one saw the mistook, or if perhaps the signmakers decided to leave the Met's poor spelling for all to enjoy...
