A friend took this on the summer solstice yesterday at the Merry Maidens Bronze Age stone circle, five miles from Land's End.

I reckon that sunset's being charged up by all the energy emanating from those stones.

Maybe a bit overcharged. This was my interpretation of the same shot:

Sunset this evening over the Serpentine, RAH roof in the distance.

                      Sibelius, anyone....?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Indeed it is. Lovely to capture London in moment of peace and beauty.

Cliche is entirely wrong. Nature's capacity to stupefy and awe is not cliche but necessary reminder that we are small, dwarfed by the immerse, and, every photo an attempt to encompass that awe.

not sunsets, but at sunset. All sorts of clouds kicking about this evening.
