Hello!
I've not actually popped into the Refreshments Room previously, but now that I'm I thought I might suggest that there's a place for a photo booth here.
No, not the passport variety, but just a space where people can share their latest pictures, family memories, school/college shots, or what you will.
I'm a semi-pro photographer myself and I only mention that because I think the Photo Booth should not be like a photo club. What will determine its quality is not the type of camera, the lens or mega-pixies or whatever they say are involved. The point here is the sharing and the comparing of our collective experiences. Firstly though, let me attempt to provide a bit of a crash course in how you can put a picture on here.
PUTTING A PICTURE ON 'ERE:
Firstly, your picture needs to be online already in a place such as Picasa, Fickr, or Tumblr.
Secondly, you need to know the URL address of that picture. Usually you can get that info by going to where your image is located, hovering over it and then click right press ... With me so far?! All being good your PC will throw up a small menu box and in that you will be able to see 'copy image URL', or such. Right, select that option and then copy/paste the link. Then when you've done that, hurry back here (we'll be waiting!) and paste into a thread as follows ...
Thirdly, that is to say, type the following ... .
Basically, it should look like this once you've done that: [img]https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-jU8RovcCLoIs%20LCY%20EI%20RJZ.jpg[/jpg]
Btw, all this info is explained elsewhere on this site but I know if it were me I wouldn't be in a rush to seek it out.
Anyway, here goes ... I'm going to follow that procedure and all being well you'll see a full-size version of my avatar (and I'm the little fella, since you might ask).
Yes, I think we've cracked it, but just to recap, what you need to remember is a bit of HTML (computer script, that is),. In our case ...

the image address to put between the square brackets and Bob's your favourite cross-dressing uncle.
Now, are you still with me? Hello?? Hello??!!
But seriously, folks, let's enjoy a festival of pictures, memories and mysteries.
Come in, the water's lovely!!
