Thanks to all for the explanation for what the Filey Brigg isIt isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

These people were on Filey Brigg close to high tide today, despite all the warnings to be off it at least 2 hours either side of high tide. And one of them was a girl of about 10.
However, they were all adventurers and confidently crossed the water to safety - and asked for a copy of the photo, " a souvenir for the wee lassie".Last edited by Eine Alpensinfonie; 01-03-15, 23:21.
