Didn't Jessie Matthews used to sing that?

Or splash out on a recording:

Maybe they'll open the Proms with it one year.

I don't know how to upload it, but out there somewhere if you can find it is a photo of Prokofiev, Shostakovich and Khachaturian sitting together on a sofa, Dmitri wedged in the middle looking distinctly uncomfortable

It's the staff of the RCM from about 1883 or 1884. Stanford has the white topper. Parry is hogging the picture by showing his profile (in front of Stanford). Sir George Grove is on his own, in the middle at the back. I'm not sure of anyone else.

Jenny Lind was the first professor of singing. Is she in the front row?

Immediately behind her might be Walter Parratt (organ).

Second row (from the front), third from the right might be Frederick Cliffe (an excellent symphony, well worth investigating).

I think on Jenny Lind's right is Ernst Pauer (piano).

#75 - ah yes, thank you Flay. I couldn't ask you nicely to do something similar with the picture I referred to in #28 - of the 1922 Salzburg festival - Webern/Hindemith/Ethel Smyth/Bliss could I ? It would be great if somebody could identify the other participants.
