      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

A real rave, by the look of it.

This picture also shows Hans Pfitzner (seated at the right, in front of Mahler)

Thanks! It crossed my mind it might be Zemlinsky but I'm sure you're right

All the people in the Mahler photo look miserable - or at least serious.

The photo of Britten playing tennis isn't rare at all. I've seen it lots of times, though I'm wondering why this site only shows half of it. He does have legs.

Which one is Tchaikovsky in the one with his family?

Rare indeed it isn't but how wonderful it would have been to have one with Britten and someone else playing mixed doubles with Gershwin and Schönberg! What a highly strung but fsacinating racquet that would have been!

I think it would have sounded very nice!

                    (Britten doubling with Imogen Holst?)

Sibelius looks the most stylish, Feldman the most oafish.

It isn't a party, more a work lunch, discussing plans for the 1906/'07 K.u.K.Hofoper season.
                        No ladies attending.

Re the Stravinsky photo: this is the decent one.
Another one taken at the same time shows him as naked as he was born

Ah, that explains the Mahler one.

There are some photos of Benjamin Britten naked too, but I imagine he looks better than Stravinsky. Nude bathing was quite usual among men - may still be for all I know

To be honest Roehre,I'm disappointed you don't know all the people in the picture.
