Didn't hear any fighting but I'm sure I recognised the dulcet tones of the Racecourse terracers.

It really makes no difference, unless he wants to boost his chances as an international footballer.

Steady on! He's the only thing Blackburn's got going for it! (They're so desperate, they have to draft Ferrier in - and she was born closer to Preston!)

Excuse me but Blackburn's got a hole lot going for it. "We know a song about that, don't we Johnny?"

But before you get too carried away, I'm from Lancashire too, though in traitorous sort of way, I live in Yorkshire.

Well, according to Wiki her family is Welsh!!! So there, she's ours.

The Ferrier family originally came from Pembrokeshire in South West Wales. The Lancashire branch originated in the 19th century, when Thomas Ferrier (youngest son of Private Thomas Ferrier of the Pembrokeshire Regiment) settled in the area after being stationed near Blackburn during a period of industrial unrest.

Another famous Welsh person was H M Stanley who found David Livingstone. His famous brother founded a football team after emigrated to England.

... come now, we all know that Pembrokeshire is part of England rather than Wales.

You, Arthur Butterworth - and me, too.

(I get away with it by referring to myself as "from the Pennines".)

Well, yes, little England beyond Wales where that most Welsh of English Kings Henry VII was born and brought up as a lad.

Were you in one of these places that was moved from one to the other in 1974?

No - from a small Pennine mill town next to Blackburn, I now live not far from Skipton.
