If you believe in superstition and statistics ..... after a Lions Tour France do very well romp to victory!! Wales unfortunately hit by injuries, interesting to see the new England team this afternoon against France.

The weather must play its part particularly today, soggy underfoot, slippery ball. swirling wind.
I agree about England Anna - with so much talent available it may be a case of the tyrranny of choice?
Oooh, No, No! The Welsh hate it when they're favourites, we prefer to be the underdog, it suits our National gloomy psyche!! If we're tipped for the top and we make a pig's ear of it then we get endless gloating in the English press .... but if we're underdogs and do good everyone loves us!
(I'm sure Ams still holds in his heart and cherishes the magical 30-3)

No, that's Scotland, shurely.
Good luck to all, especially Wales. (except on the Ides of March, of course!)

Scotland are my second team, they're the ones I cheer on when I can't cheer for Wales (obviously I will beware the Ides!!) but I enjoy seeing them play and am looking forward to how they get on against Ireland tomorrow.
At the end of the day - as long as the rugby is good with tries, or attempts at tries, and not endless penalty kicking - then I'm happy.

From the glory days of Barry John, I must say I do pray for the threat of drop goals too
Classic (not in a good way) early season performance by Wales and credit to Italy for surprising everyone by coming back in the second half. A win is a win though - future opponents will disregard Italy at their peril. Young Campagnaro played his sox off.
I was terribly confused that Mama Edison appeared to have so many sons and other relatives in the Italian team
Dear Santa
I know it's early in the year but please could I have Leigh Halfpenny for Christmas?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
Totally agree, Nigel is the best ref (he's also very funny if you ever catch him on the Jonathan Davies show, he's good at stand-up)
Paris was a thriller, I nearly fell off the sofa 32 seconds in - and what an exciting climax!!
