The usual Christmas Classical and non-Classical associations have not been reopened this Advent - the Bar Humbug factor seems to be dominating this Christmas!

I suspected a raising of some sort of bar of late, even before the festivities were due to begin.

In an unprecedented operation whose consequences would be totally unforseeable, Conservative Party members and voters succeeded in transplanting a pig's brain into the head of a British prime minister.

A spokesperson explained, "The government apologises for any upset this allegation has caused".

Never try to teach a pig to sing.

You just end up with an annoyed pig.

                  (Or something like that.)

The felling of many mature trees in our neighbourhood has left me with no alternatives, so I have taken instead to hugging electric vehicle charging posts.

It took me an hour to dig up the root of a Josta Berry this afternoon - its a cross between gooseberry and blackcurrant. It grew huge and I rarely managed to pick the fruit before the blackbirds stripped the bush.
