    Twit of 2013

nominations for the biggest twit of 2013 are invited .... please note that twit refers to idiocy/stupidity/insensitivity &c not evil or morally inept [unless accompanied by really dumb]

as a starter, and to get them out of the way, i offer the Prime Minister D Cameron [especially when his face goes any shade of red/puce] for thinking that he can win a general election by placating the loonie right and his Deputy Mr N Clegg for thinking that any one will forgive and forget his tuition fees promises [he might qualify for twit of the decade]

however these are merely obvious and there must be many many more candidates ......

At the moment just thinking about it, but Boris Johnson comes instantly to mind, for his way of wriggling out of answering questions and bludgeoning inept reporters with false bonhommie, every time when interviewed.

David and Nick are really quite clever when compared with Superchump, Michael Gove.

But hey, shouldn't this be in the Politics Forum?

er no just an unfortunate concentration of political nominations ...

Roger Wright gets a nomination for trying to make twits of us all on playlist programmes ....

... and Andy Flower gets one as well

Can I nominate a collective, as in the Cabinet, for imposing a draconian raft of cuts which will have a punitive effect on the neediest in our society while they, too many of them millionaires, will never feel the remotest impact.

I am sorry to have to balance the sexes here - but Sarah Walker and Harriet Smith have recently made strong challenges for the post .

The race is between two for me - Michael Jameson of IRR and David Cameron - both very irritating the latter much more dangerous .

but the thing he wrote in the New Statesman (?) was well argued IMV

I think Davey's "mission done" nonsense today steals it though

(i'm sure Peester would agree )

I thought he was spotted reading Dalrymple's Return of a King: The Battle for Afghanistan this summer? If so, it doubles the Twit-ness of today's flummery.

unlike sports personality of theyear, the candidates are almost an endless list.

But worthy of nomination in the politicians section is Margaret Hodge. (not for the first year).
