    The Art of the Obituary

Death notices sometimes form the most poignant introduction to someone unknown. I just read this one on the late animator Richard Taylor written by his daughter. A thumbnail sketch with much warmth and humour, conveying so much of the man in such a little space. (I especially liked how he parted ways with Barclays. )

I still remember this behemoth on Derrida in The Guardian after he died: http://www.theguardian.com/news/2004...tuaries.france

Any thoughts or particularly memorable obituaries welcome.
