ah Scalextric ... used to play for hours with No 1 son; but now he makes tv films about cars &c and is visiting over the holidays so i have been tidying the spare bedroom and rearranging a huge pile of junk in the middle room [don't know what else to call an ex bedroom full of files cds computers and furniture and stuff] ... another day of heavy lifting and the attic will hide the stuff i failed to chuck [a weakness i think]; so the house will be presentable for the visitations due shortly
dealing with stuff calls in to the reckoning the pathways of one's life and the meanings [such as may be] of existence .... it does slow the progress as nostalgia dives into the nooks and crannies hidden in old diaries, letters &c .... all shredded i am pleased to say ...

Her: Yes we do, for when people come round.
