Is there room for a Wicked Scotsman?

There is always room mangerton for a Wicked Border Reiver, rolling his R's at the Fairy Godmother and frightening the wee bairns!
(I do think, historically, there was a Panto about Guy Fawkes and King James of Scotland? I have only seen two productions, one was Aladdin and the other, title forgot, had Frankie Howerd in it)

I feel like the back end of a pantomime horse at work every day so I may as well put myself down for that.

On the other hand, being a mere 5ft 2in I'm a shoo in for one of Snow White's dwarfs. Sleepy will do nicely.

Ah! I don't think I'd ever written the phrase down before... it's 'shoo' as in herding cats, rather than 'shoe' as in nudging something with the side of one's foot, is it?

I'm sure there could be a scene for Jack and Buttons in lessons with the strict schoolmaster wielding his tickling-cane....

I think the dwarfs need better names though.

Is there a Panto which has a Wicked Lawyer, such as Mr. Vholes? Or a villain such as Tulkinghorn?
(Can Pierrot be fitted in - Cali does like wearing a mask and it would be in the classical tradition as I believe the law features somewhere in the various representations)

Indeed Mary, the Brothers Grimm did not name them. Disney has a lot to answer for! (In particular Winnie the Pooh!) In 1912 the dwarfs were Blick, Flick, Glick, Plick, Quee, Snick and Whick.

But, to get back on topic, for nominations, if there is to be a Mystical Wizard or a Genie, I vote for eightobstruction. And, Jayne Lee Wilson to be Principal Boy. (Edit: Because she likes thigh-high boots and fashion)

If the casting couch is the sole criterion, I'm sure (and I certainly hope ) that you'd have a better chance than I!

I did enjoy Charles Dance as Tulkinghorn, but for sheer villainy, Phil Davis as Smallweed would be hard to beat. (the 2005 BBC production; I remember recording the episodes and sending them to Miss m (at univ) to watch on her laptop.)
