No time like the present - casting should proceed without delay, I think. I suspect that the writing process will have to come after we see what talent is available.

In addition to Snow White and Grumpy and his mates (Aide-mémoire: Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Happy, Sleepy, Sneezy):

    Principal boy

    Dame

    Baron Hardup
(vinteuil possibly a shoe-in for this one... )

    Villain

    Comic lead

Panto horse (dual role: forequarters and rear end) - option on Panto cow as well, if more than one rear-end available...

    Wicked witch

    Good fairy

    Two ugly sisters

    Genie of the lamp

    Nominations (including self-nominations) below, please.

    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Ah! I don't think I'd ever written the phrase down before... it's 'shoo' as in herding cats, rather than 'shoe' as in nudging something with the side of one's foot, is it?

I'm sure there could be a scene for Jack and Buttons in lessons with the strict schoolmaster wielding his tickling-cane....

... I think, given the castings possibilities provided by contributors here, there will be - "A Chorus of Pedants"

                No problem (which rule?! )

Surely you can think of a horse's a*se or two?

I thought we were doing Snow White - if it's a mash-up (to borrow SM-P's fave expression) of Pantos there must be a Widow Twanky somewhere ....

As mentioned in my #1 Anna, I thought we should wait and see who's available and sculpt the story round the "talent".

I completely agree about having a Twanky!

I wonder if Stillhomewardbound could be persuaded to deploy his thespian genes and drag himself on stage for a spot of Twanky action...?

Takes me back to a song from my student days:

... She said 'Are you Gilbert the Star?'
                              I said 'No! I'm the elephant's bottom!' ...
