    One of the most interesting television social journalists of the 1970s, the fading of his career coincided with that of interesting television documentaries. His few appearences in more recent times demonstrated that he had not lost his ability to communicate his observations and comments: it was the small screen that got smaller.

      I was sorry to hear this on the radio this morning. Ray's distinctive voice was something I always enjoyed in his prime.

        Sad. One of the most interesting journalists I can think of from the 1970s & 1980s. One of those people we just took for granted I suppose.
