I’m sorry to hear that you are still in hospital. At least you are not missing anything weather-wise. It’s wet, cold and dark in Kent (as usual). All my Bramley apples are on the ground now, as I imagine yours too. I see they are 28 pence EACH in Sainsbury’s. Our birds have rich pickings indeed.
Get well soon. I miss your posts.

saly was anxious in case her friends on the forum had missed her (they had! - the spies were already out scouting around the Kent countryside looking for news).
Any road - get well soon, saly. Hope your typing finger is in good shape.

I've been advised that messages left here are picked up by salymap's own elves & they're printed out for her to read. She's just lying back on cushions while other elves peel grapes for her

The latest bulletin: There's no talk of saly moving from where she is at present. She has had some good days and has been reported as enjoying her food! However, she is currently being treated for a chest infection.
More as and when...
(I think my daube à l'avignonnaise - as per The Refreshment Room - would have been strong competition for the NHS grub, saly, though I do say it meself as shouldn't. Bit complicated to bring a helping but I can send the 'orstipal the recipe if required ...)It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

You're not milking it coz you can't be bothered thinking up a new list are you ?
Monteverdi: Zefiro torna
D. Scarlatti: more or less anything as long as it is on the harpsichord
Rameau : Rossignols amoureux from Hippolyte et Aricie
Vivaldi: Mandolin Concerto (a nice little entertainment)
Bach: Coffee Cantata
Haendel : something from Cantates sacrées – by Emma Kirby and London Baroque
Kapsberger Works for Lute & Chitarrone: any one or two
Buxtehude: one of trio sonatas
Not the sort of work salymap usually listens to, so it will be a good opportunity to fill in a long afternoon.
