Having spent several hours in MRI scanners I know what he means so I made him a CD or MRI sounds for Christmas.

But a wonderful thing indeed, helped to save my life and not as scary as some would suggest. I found the skill and technology reassuring.

    Hope all goes well Saly

According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

Great to see your name on a posting once again Salymap. Please forgive me for not joining the tide of personal best wishes earlier: I'm rotten at this with people I know well and get completely tongue-tied, and a message board makes it worse - sorry
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!

All the more credit to you LMP, as I'm sure salymap appreciates. In the same vein of tongue-tied awkwardness may I wish all here a get well wish - some of us could do with it. In fact we all could. There seems to be no other place, more's the pity, where one can use the excuse of the season to place a greeting in good faith.

                  Dear salymap
Another bank holiday and Bramley apples are in full bloom. I hope all is as well as can be for you and you are enjoying the blossoms in your garden. Has your computer been sorted out yet? We are getting quite impatient. Hurry up and be well soon. We need a new list!

                  All the best

                          Dear salymap
We are heading for the longest day and everything in the garden is growing nicely. I noticed that my Victoria plums, Damsons, Greengages and the wild plums (at least that’s what I think these are) are loaded with fruit. A lot of figs, too and the strawberries are flowering. It looks as if it is going to be a good fruit year. Not that we get to eat anything very much if the badgers have any memory.

I hope your computer front is improving. You need to come back before dark days and long nights come round again.

                          All the best

Saly, all may be flourishing in doversoul's garden - here we are once again battling with adverse weather - rain!! - which is delaying planting at this vital time of year. I had a wonderful show of apple blossom although I hope the crop is not too heavy as there is a limit to how many apples a day I can eat and you can't give them away as too many people also have apple trees, still the blackbirds and thrushes love gorging on them, even the withered ones left on the tree over Winter. I'm debating whether to put the tomato plants out or hang on another week and have lots of pots of herbs to put in a new bed I've dug in a very sunny spot.
We are all still thinking of you, hoping you are getting stronger and that one day you'll manage to get back on the computer. With all best wishes, Anna x

I planted out about 20 tomato plants - self-grown Marmande - a week or so ago during that spell of warm weather. Now cooler and windier, but they seem to be holding their own. I usually reckon it's OK as long as it doesn't go below 10C.

                              Also best wishes to Saly.
