I'm so glad to read the message from Saly, which I have only just seen for some reason. Hooray! (But please don't feel any pressure from us to get online again. Take whatever time you need.)

            Saly,
Perhaps you could have Jenny type a message from you now and again, just to let everyone know of your progress. As you see, it matters enormously to so many people. After years of reading posts from you as Saly, it's strange to learn that your name is actually Pam!!

I had no idea that you had been offline and hospital, and then recovering. That's my fault for not having looked in a lot more during the last few months (18 in fact!)

I do hope you get back to 100% of your former self, and can contribute to the forum, with such excellent posts containing so much rich information. You must have been sorely missed.

              Best wishes - Ariosto

                Dear salymap
Google says today is the first day of spring. I thought the spring equinox was tomorrow (21st). Ah well, there may be different first days depending on where you stand (or sit) …

Never mind a day or two. We have survived another winter. I imagine your recovery is a long slow process. Everything takes much longer when we are old but then there are few reasons to be rushing about when we are old. So take it easy and keep going.

Yes, sals - Happy New Season! Because the earth wobbles as it moves (I know the feeling!) the Equinox can occur either side of the 21st. Whichever, today is the thirtieth anniversary of "Mrs" fhg and my first meeting, so despite the rather overcast weather this morning, "I don't care what the weatherman says". Hope all is well with you, and you're back with us in print very soon.

                  Bestio wishes!

                    Congratulations, ferney!

About this time 33 years ago I was dating a young lady, but after a disastrous week on Mull together (in separate rooms ) during which I had accidentally I called her by my then ex's name while attempting a moment of passion, she told me "I'm not going out with you any more. Would you like a cup of tea?"

Fortunately I managed to worm my way back into her affections and she hasn't shaken me off since!
