                          Dear salymap
It’s a lovely sunny day in this corner of Kent today. Three weeks have gone since the longest night. The days aren’t that much longer yet but my snowdrops are almost flowering. Hurry up and get well soon. You are missing gamba’s another great story.

                          All the best

As with Barbirollians & so many others, I am now quite concerned regarding present conditions relating to our much-loved mutual friend salymap.

Very little in the way of information regarding her health & general condition appears to be emerging. I would wish, as I'm sure we all do , that a more intimate & friendly exchange be made with her or those in close contact with her. I do hope I'm not ' treading on toes ' here & offer my most sincere apology should this appear to be so. She has become to us as a figurehead is to any large gathering, requiring exactly the right person to represent them. I feel she is so with us, kind, considerate, very knowledgeable - one could go on - a person one feels one has always known, many of you will have had that pleasure much longer than me .

Hence I do sincerely wish we shall all soon be involved in a cheerful daily exchange of news, music, smalltalk or whatever, just something to bring us closer again. That is what we & I'm sure she, would wish for.

                              Thank you

Yes, I agree with gamba, it would be nice to hear how salymap is, realising of course that physio takes a lot longer at a greater age and it may not be possible, at this time, for her to return to living alone but we do reassure her that we continually think about her, and miss her contributions
