Had that been issued by one of the big labels, I would not be surprised, but from Gimell, it's a disgrace. If Ruhevoll can confirm that it's not a spoof, I'll email Peter Phillips.

That's how it appears on Amazon and several other sites. If you type the title into Google Images, you'll see it appear quite frequently. I should send it to Private Eye.

I had a look on Google, and it appears to be genuine. I'm glad that the cover of my Tallis Scholars CD from 1985 containing this piece is much more restrained. I presume it's the same recording. Does anyone know?

Use the Beeb's complaints facility, or write to Feedback. I did, about the inescapable 'Sound of Cinema' and the loss of EMS.

These pages have information about how to complain to the BBC, with links to the BBC’s Complaints Framework, the BBC’s regulator Ofcom and regular reports about complaints. Watch our short film to learn more about how the BBC responds to your feedback.

                  Yes, I did notice that!

My own moment - and I have mentioned it before, but it is absolutely true - was when I typed 'Britten Pears' into some search engine and it asked 'Did you mean Britney Spears?'.

Last week I happened to notice an advert in my local newspaper for a forthcoming Halle concert on the 5th October.

One of the works on offer is listed as 'The Lone Ranger" by Rossini.

                        I laughed.

I'm well past crying these days.

There is an annual Laugh or Cry moment for me, when the Classical Brit Awards are presented as though they have anything to do with classical music. Actually, the result is often a third option, "Bang head against nearest solid object."
