Disposables! I'd end up in A and E if I used them. I took one on a foreign trip recently and cut myself to pieces.

Mr Pee, if you are looking in at all, I make you right about those Japanese feather blades, they are too aggressive. Nearly cut me nose off today! I gave 'em a good try, though.

I think the Egyptian blades 'Shark' are the best, at least for me.

You are right about Proraso products, great Italian stuff

Gonna now give one of those vicious Japanese feathers another chance. With the slant-bar it's a bit risky!

                MR PEE, WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!!???

Actually, I did very well. Just three little nicks, all carelessness on my part.

Haven't cut myself in 18 months

Jap blades, German razor, can't be beaten

I have just realised that the picture of the razor in post #97 isn't the slant bar, so here's a close-up of the real German Merkur 'Slant Bar'

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
