You should get together with my nephew, Anna. He would make you feel very dainty (not sure I like that word). He takes a 15, but then he is 6 foot 7, and I don't expect you are. It's all in the proportions. Women's shoes routinely go up to a size 9 these days, so 6 is perfectly normal.

Bless you Mary, can I have the name and address of your nephew? (Only joking!)
      I think when I say Dainty I mean a size 3, bit of a tippity-tappity Lotus Blossom scenario .....
But, my feet are ok, they propell me along - what more could you want? They stop me from falling over, and, that is what feet are for.

        5. What about bow-ties?
You should always tie your own.

          You need feet.....

...[to] stop your legs from fraying at the ends.

Which sock you tuck your sgian dubh into is apparently determined by whether you are right or left handed (unless anyone knows different)

              I
I prefer being barefoot, pregnant, and chained to the kitchen sink, unemcumbered by a Scotsmen's dubh's!
Only joking of course, chance would be a fine thing!

I thought straight men pierced both. As for gay men, I always thought that it had the same significance as which back pocket you had your hanky hanging out of.

                  Oh. I say!!
The things one learns ... to think, hankys (should that be hankies?) had a significance beyond Maiden Aunts ....

Absolutely. Short ties look silly. Positioning of the tie pin, if employed, crucial... too high up, the tie flaps around anyway.

It depends on the pattern. For example, a striped shirt doesn't have to accompany a plain tie. Stripes with stripes is a no-no.

Now, I always knew this one as 'red and green should never be seen', as red is not a constituent colour of green. Blue and green can go together rather well.

It doesn't do much for Obelix.

chevron stripes, with the 'v' pointing down on the top half & up on the bottom half, are slimming.
