Cracking Scottish Final today. I thought Hibs deserved to win with some enterprising play. ( the Rangers second goal is well worth catching too.)

A lot better than the match from Wembley...Glad to see Hibs beat their hoodoo but not good scenes on the park after the game. Hibs having to play (albeit unsuccessfully) a couple of rounds of play-off games seemed to give them just a bit more stamina at the end of the game than the boys in blue. Celtic did a wee cheeky one by announcing the arrival of Rogers as manager on Friday night on the eve of Rangers' big return game. Scottish football returning to its old default position it would appear.

If the usual formula applies, we can expect the following from Manchester United:

2016-17 - 2nd or 3rd place in Premiership
2017-18 - Champions
2018-19 - 7th or 8th?

Not a memorable match but we enjoyed a great day out at Wembley, even if the wrong result from our point of view did detract somewhat in the end. We knew we were in trouble as soon as we were playing against ten men (cf Liverpool match). The Man U fans contributed almost nothing to making it a festive occasion. Their end resembled a morgue and their dreary fans seemed to be turning up for just the routine of winning yet another trophy for their bulging cabinet. They didn't bother to organise flags or singing and only just managed to scrape home, snatching it agonisingly from our grasp right at the end .... again!! The whole thing seemed to mean a whole lot more to the Palace fans who put on a superb display of flags and chanting
