Liverpool 2 Watford 0 A goal in each half secured the win for the much changed Reds, remain in 8th place
home team 2 Arsenal 2 Came back from behind twice ,scoring with their only 2 shots on target, just one point from their last game will secure a top 4 finish (good result for Man Utd)
Oldham 0 Coventry City 2 Both goals within the space of 7 2nd half mins, finished in 8th place,5 points outside the play offs

National League play off 2nd leg

Maidstone United 1 Truro City 0 Our team were the better side in the 1st half I hear but conceded on 73 mins to lose 3-0 on aggregate
Poor Truro and Cloughers who yet has bigger fish to fry.

I had to go out at halftime Spurs v Saints and kicking myself I didn't invest in an away win. Well done anyway Sainty. Hadn't realised you would be third if the league had started in January.

I think with Truro City too many catch up matches and the playoffs was a major disadvantage for part-timers. Big fish appropriately on Fryday!

After a dodgy 2016, Palace are ending the season with a bit of a flourish - Cup Final v Man U (got my ticket) and a vintage steam team bringing fans down to the Saints match on Sunday.

Championship play off semi final 1st leg

Sheffield Wednesday 2 Brighton 0 Yes well done Owls,I didn't see the game but by all accounts the best team won,Seagulls a bit unlucky though playing the last half hour with 10 men having lost 4 players during the game to injury

League 2 play off 1st leg.

Wimbledon 1 Accrington Stanley 0 The REAL Dons, appearing in the play offs for the first time, scored in the 93rd min to take a narrow lead into next Wednesday's 2nd leg.

Scottish 2nd division relegation/promotion play off 2nd leg.

East Stirlingshire 0 Edinburgh City 1 Sad day for the forum, conceded the goal from the spot on 87 mins and had a man sent off,so lost 2-1 on aggregate.
Edinburgh City became the first club to be promoted to Scottish League Two through the pyramid system, and East Stirlingshire's 61-year tenure in senior football came to an end and they will now play in the Lowland League.

                            League games

Inverness Caledonian Thistle 4 Dundee 0 After a goaless 1st half all the goals came in the space of 23 mins, finished the season in 7th place
Partick Thistle 2 Hamilton 2 All the goals were scored in the 1st 20 mins,Jags took the lead twice and were almost immediately pegged back both times, finished the season in 9th place

Hereford won the Midland Football League Cup this week by beating Walsall Wood 3-1,so that's 3 trophies in our cabinet from the Bulls alone (Herefordshire Senior Cup and League title in there already, and the FA Vase to come)

If the Real Dons win the play-offs and end up in the same division as the Plastic Dons, no-one will be more pleased than I.

I don't think Seagulls were the team they were through the rest of the season. I don't think tomorrow's game will be any different. As for The Toon, well Mike Astley, you've done it yet again!!
