The Buddies didn't quite get there in the end. They'll be dancing on the streets of Raith is the old joke, Alison...it's Stark's Park, Kirkcaldy, by the way.
Big wait for your next game - will that keep you all fresh and use up the cotton wool allocation? Certainly no end of season pile up of games for the Foxes that has inflicted teams before - I notice you've only got two games to come in March.

Yes, Alison, a better result than my first team derby. The curse of Colin!

Just been chatting to two neighbours, neither very happy .... next door: Newcastle. Opposite: Everton.

Optimism is not the default position for Palace fans but it would be great to thwart Liverpool again this afternoon. Surely Palace have to win a match some time this year. Eeeagles!!!!

Maybe for the neutrals but in our current lean patch it was a good result with some great defending stopping Brighton getting a chance, Owls were nearer to the three points. The result made sweeter by Bolton salvaging a point v Ipswich with a 97th min goal, keep us in the play off spot.
Thanks, Edge for your midweek forum round up.

Good luck to one and all today.

So could Newcastle yet have a touch of resilience at Leicester on Monday?

By the way, anyone know of a list of prize money for finishing positions in the Premiership?

Curious to know what we'd get for winning ...

Prize money distribution seems complicated but I found this

Assuming that 3 of the bottom 4 go down - what an incredible reward fo failure - does that exclude parachute payments?

I thought it was interesting what Shearer said about Benitez having total control as manager - however at this stage of the season there's not a lot he can do about changing the squad - a good test for his motivational skills. If they are relegated will he want to manage a second tier club or will the get out clause come in. The appointment will be a good motivator for Big Sam and the Makems!

Thanks Rob...good result for the Saints ...no chance of the play-offs, but thankful for small mercies. And yes indeed, doonhamer is a person from Dumfries. Got the name from towns more north than Dumfries because people from Dumfries say 'am gan doon hame'. Reminds me of the Aberdonians, called in some parts the 'Furry Boots' *, because of their expression 'Furryboots are you fae?'

                                * They've got a lot worse names than that in some quarters.
