The last time they were holding up the football league, they were at least re-elected. No such possibility this time.

Surely taking the time and effort to listen to a full-match local radio commentary of a game involving Stockport County and Wycombe Wanderers is worthy of no little admiration in itself ... ?

I hope Spurs beat Real Madrid but cant see that happening.

And it didn't, sadly. But realistically, there was almost no chance.

yep supporting a football club is most likely to be an agonising lesson in the stoic endurance of disappointment and suppressing rage at the stupidity or sheer incompetence of the owner/board/manager etc ....

...according to reports Gomez will go for his howler ... and likely Ancelloti too; bring Ray back and give him and Carlo a five year deal to rebuild the side, it is still essentially the special one's creation ... sorry brassbandetc that you can't stand Chelsea since we both suffer from the owner eh?

The Special One only tweaked Ranieri's rather good team, so I would give the earlier manager much more of the credit.

true but Ranieri was a notorious team tweaker himself!

That's what good managers do when they take over.

The former Chelsea boss, nicknamed “Tinkerman” for his team selection tactics at Stamford Bridge, accepts his days at Roma are numbered. In fact, there is a growing belief in Italy that Ranieri will be replaced at Roma by current Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti.
