Well done Brizzle and Leicester (told you it'd be alright in the end Alison)

Just to bring us up to date -

West Brom 3 end of season job done Blues 0.
Welcome back. Was going to let Monday's result creep under the radar but at least Fabregas's ban has been reduced to just one ( meaningless ) game !

      Hot off the press -

Hamilton Academical 1 St Mirren 0. Conceded a late goal, end of a dismal season, hopefully Buddies can bounce straight back
Celtic 5 Inverness Caledonian Thistle 0. Fell apart in the last 20 minutes but a good campaign on the whole, and still the cup final to come next week.
Chelsea 3 Sunderland 1.Comfortable win,let the party begin.
Crystal Palace 1 Swansea City 0. Second half goal sealed the win and a magnificent top 10 finish.
Hull City 0 Manchester United 0. Soaked up all the pressure from the team fighting for survival and suffered a red card,CL football achieved which was the aim.
Leicester City 5 QPR 1. Final day storming win is the icing on the survival cake
man city 2 Southampton 0. Highest premiership finish 7th,just need Arsenal to win the cup to hand Saints a Europa League spot.
Newcastle United 2 West Ham United 0. Late Guttierez goal and Hull's draw made sure Toon avoided the drop ,couldn't have
been a more appropriate scorer on survival Sunday.
Stoke City 6 Liverpool 1. Not sure what to make of this,5-0 down at half time,at least SG signed off with a goal

Thanks for the great round up over the year, Rob. Yep it's been a terrible season but we have a new manager in place for the new season and hoping that we can consolidate, and who knows what lies ahead. Good luck to ICT in the Cup Final next week - tough being the favourites, but hope they stick a bit silverware in the Forum trophy room for Big Yogi. And I know it's being said everywhere but particular congrats to Leicester for that great late run that took them safe - the kind of run all fans dream of. I'm hoping for Norwich to win on Monday - we need a Scottish manager up in the EPL.

Thanks, Rob, for great results service as ever and thumbnail match reports. Stoke's 6-1 trouncing of Liverpool which I've just watched on MotD makes Palace's 3-1 double over them look rather half-hearted.

On the subject of MotD and Stoke, how is it conceivable that Charlie Adam's goal didn't win Goal of the Season?

The season isn't yet over as far as forum teams are concerned.
Inverness are in the Scottish cup final and Southampton may end up playing European football next season, depending on the result of the FA cup final.

Good luck to ICT. Europa league is a mixed blessing to say the least.so I guess Saints fans need to look on the up side of whatever the outcome of the FA Cup final is.

Hope you had a good holiday ER. Thanks for your fabulous roundups, the modern day football pink. very much appreciated.
I'm off for a few days to hear some Mahler in Paris. Apparently there are tourist attractions there too !!

Oh Noes.......is there huge and rowdy tartan army following him across la Manche?

tennis. If I wanted to watch balls flying over the top of a net for what seems hours on end I'd go and watch portsmouth.

                          Well, I wouldn't actually, obviously.....

Thanks for all the work put in over the season Edgey and you always did say Leicester would survive

I was quite touched by Steve Bruce's well done to Leicester on their 'Champions League' form.

                                AT LAST!!!

SURELY THE BEST NEWS OF THE SEASON...
                                http://edition.cnn.com/2015/05/27/fo...ice-department.

I was sorry when nothing came of some earlier English suggestions about UEFA boycotting Russia '18 or Qatar '22. SURELY they can't continue their preparations now...
