    What price the franchise now?

Nice win for the Owls over their role models!

Prem clubs continually put out second elevens out for competitions. Was the result really that much of a surprise - MK Dons 'cup final' against a side of footballers who probably have had little time playing together - yes the margin of the victory perhaps a surprise but not the actual victory. Again no surprise but very annoying that Radio 5 at 10.00pm talked for half an hour about the match as though no other matches had taken place over the evening.

Manchester United were actually clever to make an early exit from the cup, as it will allow them to concentrate on their relegation battle.
            ouch!

Hilarious result. Meanwhile, Palace's renegade superstar, Wilf Zaha, earning ÂŁ35,000 a week for not playing for them, is otherwise engaged

Could be worse. Some fans aren't happy but I feel a certain affinity with him. He's the same age as me.

I am afraid I am still reeling over England's non-existent performances at the world cup. I have decided therefore, that m footballing following will be non-existent this season as well!!

Presumably because the age for receiving pension benefits is rising faster than our actual ages are rising?

Thanks for that. It seems from the club website that the coach went on and played but to no effect as far as the Shire's fortunes were concerned. The local paper calls it 'a leaky defence'............
